Due to fore­casted rainy and windy weather con­di­tions at the monastery, the church has decided to re-schedule this weekend’s trip, to take place on Sat­ur­day, March 13, 2010.

For those of you who already reserved seats, your reser­va­tion will be valid for the 3/13/10 date, but if you will not be able to make it on the new date, please con­tact Dr. Mikhail Malek or Dr. George Awad for a refund.

Seats are still avail­able if you would like to join us and had not reserved a seat yet.

St. Demi­ana Cop­tic Ortho­dox Church joy­fully announces a spir­i­tual trip and retreat to St. Antony Cop­tic Ortho­dox Monastery in Yermo, CA on Sat­ur­day, Jan­u­ary 23, 2010 for all fam­i­lies and youth. This trip is designed to be a spir­i­tual retreat and fel­low­ship for the con­gre­ga­tion of the church under the super­vi­sion of Fr. Mina Youssef and Archdea­con Moses. The theme of the retreat is “Virtues in the Life of St. Antony.”

God will­ing, the buses will leave the church at 6:00 a.m. so that we may cel­e­brate the Divine Liturgy in the monastery at 9:00 a.m. The trip will depart the monastery in the late after­noon so that fam­i­lies can return for the Ves­pers Rais­ing of Incense at the church.

Any­one who wishes to par­tic­i­pate should con­tact any of the fol­low­ing per­sons:

The sug­gested dona­tion per per­son is $20.00, but the church will accept any­one with a finan­cial hardship.

The dead­line for reg­is­tra­tion is Sun­day, Jan­u­ary 17. Spaces are reserved on a first come, first served basis.
