Great Lent Book Study 2010 for the Youth

With great joy and enthusiasm, we announce the beginning of our book study for the Great Lent 2010 in the Friday night youth meeting, which meets every Friday evening from 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

This year, we will read together the book “Father Arseny, 1893–1973: Priest, Prisoner, Spiritual Father,” which tells the story of a Russian Orthodox priest who reflected Christ’s light in the severe conditions of a Siberian death camp during the Communist era. To help make the book relatable to our spiritual journey during the Great Lent, the book study will follow the Sunday themes of the Great Lent in the Coptic Orthodox Church.

Youth who have not yet purchased the book are invited to speak with me or purchase the book directly from Amazon:

May God bless this holy season in our lives that it may be a source of spiritual nourishment and joy.
