Church Cleanup Day a Blessed Success

On Saturday, February 13, 2010, the youth of St. Demiana Coptic Orthodox Church gathered for a spiritual day involving a comprehensive cleanup and improvement of some areas of the church.

With the grace of God, the spiritual day was a blessed success. The youth came to church early in the morning for the celebration of the Divine Liturgy. Afterwards, they shared an agape lunch together and began the work. Two teams worked diligently in two areas of the church. One team focused on cleaning and painting the Sunday School rooms while the other focused on the area behind the Holy Altar and the church generally.

At the end of the day, both of these areas were greatly improved through the efforts of the youth. May the Lord reward them and accept their sacrifice.

There is, however, still much work to be done. God willing, the church hopes to announce the next spiritual day/activity for the youth in the coming weeks.
